The Course
This course gives you down-to-earth, evidence-based guidance for healing and thriving after a vaginal birth. You’ll get week-by-week recovery milestones; perineal care and perineal scar TLC; pelvic floor and core basics; lochia, hormone, bladder, and bowel know-how; latch and positioning for feeding; pain-relief strategies; sleep and nutrition tips; mental-health check-ins; and how to safely return to sex and exercise. We also cover red flags and exactly when to call your provider. Expect bite-size videos, printable checklists, symptom trackers, and partner playbooks you can use the same day.
By turning complex info into simple routines, you’ll reduce discomfort sooner, protect your pelvic floor, support milk supply, and feel more confident caring for yourself while caring for your baby. You’ll set up an easy bathroom recovery station, master lifting and feeding positions that spare your core, and use ready-made scripts and questions at appointments so you get what you need fast. Perfect for first-time parents or seasoned pros, the lessons fit into nap-length windows and are judgment-free, inclusive, and practical.
What you will learn
I started this course after years of supporting new moms and birthing people and seeing how overwhelming those first weeks can feel, so I set out to make a calm, clear roadmap you can actually use. I carefully crafted each lesson with input from pelvic health specialists and lactation consultants, then organized everything into bite-sized steps, checklists, and quick wins so you’ll never wonder what to do next. If you’re just starting out, you’ll appreciate the plain-language guidance, realistic timelines, and gentle strategies that fit into real life, not just ideal schedules. It’s practical, well-structured, and designed to boost your confidence day by day—so you can focus on healing, bonding, and feeling more like yourself again.
Curriculum
Your instructor
I’m Rosie Davie, a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist (HCPC registered; CSP and POGP member) with over a decade in postnatal care. I’ve worked across the NHS in obstetrics and urogynaecology and in private practice, helping women recover after vaginal birth. With a background in sports massage and musculoskeletal physio, I blend hands-on care with movement-based rehab—supporting pelvic floor recovery, perineal healing, bladder and bowel changes, sexual comfort, prolapse concerns, and diastasis in a way that fits real life.
I teach Your Free Post Vaginal Birth Guide to close the gap in postnatal support with practical, stigma-free, and genuinely compassionate education. Expect clear explanations, simple routines you can do with a baby nearby, and guidance that centres your goals and lifestyle. I use the same evidence-led approach as in clinic—individualised and joined up with other healthcare providers when needed—and my role on Scottish Rugby’s Women’s Health Board reflects my commitment to bringing accessible pelvic health education to every woman, from early motherhood to returning to sport.
